"The plan could include the creation of some form of nominating process that includes a commission similar to one that vets judicial appointments. Members of the commission would be selected either by the governor or county executive. Once appointed, members would have to stand for retention election in the next election."

BCPS will hold 4 community meetings to gain feedback on the school system's over 70 magnet programs. Input from students, parents, stakeholders, and other interested parties is needed on why students enroll, how programs can be improved, and if students' needs are being met.
The forums will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates at the listed locations:
Loch Raven High - November 27
Stemmers Run Middle - November 28
Edmondson Heights Elementary - November 29
